THE ACSO BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Throughout the years, artists, many of whom are members
of the Cowboy Artists
of America supported ACSO by donating original art. Because so many generous artists, individuals and organizations have believed in the dream Bill Owen had, they helped to make it come true. As a result, Bill has been able to experience the pleasure of giving something back to many of the same people and their children he has portrayed in his art; the very individuals who perpetuate the lifestyle that has meant so much to him throughout his life and career. He would not have been able to accomplish this alone; many helped to make this personal reward a reality. These ten years have been a joint effort - everyone doing their part made it work. We are grateful and thank you all. |

THE CO Bar Ranch has been donating the proceeds from a colt that sells at their annual colt sale for several years now. The CO Bar Ranch has and will continue to be a huge part of Bill's life and his art; and his relationship with the ranch and the Howell's is very important personally to him. ACSO greatly appreciates the support received from the CO Bar Ranch! Todd Reeg, of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC - You know what you do for us! Your generosity in sharing your expertise is greatly appreciated. Thank you! Valley of the Sun United Way and APS Employees - Due to the efforts of Ray Smith, an Arizona Public Service Company employee, ACSO has received annual donations from generous APS employees for several years now. We now have APS employees who donate from Buckeye, Glendale, Globe, Joseph City, Laveen, Litchfield Park, Phoenix, Taylor, Tempe, Tonopah, Wickenburg and Wittman, Arizona! We thank Ray and all of the other APS donors, as well as the people who make it all happen at United Way! J.W. Kieckhefer Foundation - ACSO thanks you for your continued support throughout the years. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by many! Arizona State Employees Charitable Campaign (SECC) - 2008 was the first year SECC donated to ACSO and they will be contributing once again in 2009. Thank you, State of Arizona employees and the Business Services Division of the Secretary of State office! The Arizona Cowpunchers Reunion Assn. - Have donated a portion of the proceeds from their annual Reunion Ranch Rodeo for many years. It's wonderful how the donation this organization makes annually comes full circle, allowing ACSO to grant scholarships to some of their very own children! John Davis, owner of Arizona Lithographers, donated the printing of the note cards for the last few years of Cowboy Gala. Thanks, John! Ed Reilly, owner of BronzeSmith, donated the casting for years of one of Bill Owen's sculptures to be auctioned. We appreciate Ed's support through the years. Nick& Dolly Turner donated fabulous Navajo rug's to be auctioned for several years, as well as acting as Chair and Co-chair for the annual One Eyed Open Golf Tournaments. Wonderful friends, Nick & Dolly - thank you! Red Steagall donated his talents, emceeing and enterfaining, for probably 7 of the 10 years Cowboy Gala events were held. We can't thank you enough, Red, your support has been invaluable! Don Hedgpeth filled in on the year's Red had conflicting engagements. Thank you, Don, we love you! Carson Thomas jumped right in from the beginning of the Cowboy Gala events being held in Wickenburg, donating his Auctioneering gift - WOW! His expertise helped to make the last three events the huge financial success they were. Thanks, Carson, we are proud to call you and Billie our friends! To list everyone who helped out in some way or another, whether by volunteering to help hang art, or by donating an item to be auctioned, isn't practical. For those not listed here, please know your efforts and support have always and will always be appreciated by everyone associated with ACSO, including all the young people who have and will continue to benefit as a result. We and the students THANK YOU! |
